Hockey club and turf booking software
For clubs whose whole budget is decided by turf hours
1st month free. A card is required to start, and nothing is charged until your free month ends. The free profile and free tiers never need one.
TL;DR
- The surface is usually the single biggest line in the budget, so an unsold hour is a real loss rather than a missed chance.
- Turf hours are a product: hireable in blocks, at rates that can differ under lights.
- Junior programs and specialist work share the same surface, so both come off one availability.
- A pre-season block that has to move tells everyone enrolled and lets them out, rather than moving them silently.
Hockey clubs are unusual in that their single largest cost is often the surface they play on. Synthetic turf is expensive to build, expensive to light and allocated in blocks, so the club's programs are arranged around the hours it holds and its finances depend on selling those hours well. Everything else, the junior program, the goalkeeping clinic, the pre-season block, is downstream of that allocation.

Turf hours as a product
The hours a club does not use itself are worth selling, and in most clubs that is still done by whoever answers the phone. Facility hire puts turf time online: a date, a specific surface, a start time in half-hour increments, checked against live availability so a booked hour is never offered twice. Because lighting is the real cost driver, evening rates are configured separately from daytime rates, and a member rate can sit alongside a casual one. A school or a social group that wants the same hour every week can set a repeating booking for up to twelve weeks and cancel the whole series in a single action.
Junior programs on a shared surface
Junior hockey is typically played across a smaller area than the full field, which means a club can run more than one age group on the same turf at the same time. Each group is its own class with its own capacity and its own price, sitting on the same calendar rather than being buried in a note about who is on which half. Where the group is selected rather than open, publishing it invite-only keeps it off public search entirely.
Goalkeeping and small-group specialist work
Keepers are the group most often left out of a general session, and specialist coaching for them is small-group work rather than a class. Run as a private booking, it checks the coach's availability and the turf's availability at the same time and only offers slots where both are genuinely free. Each duration is priced separately, and a flat price for two or three keepers sharing the slot can be set on the durations where the coach offers it, shown before payment so the price displayed is the price charged.
Pre-season and the block that has to move
Pre-season blocks are the ones most likely to be rescheduled, because they are set before the fixture list is confirmed. A term class handles a shifted block properly: change the dates and every enrolled player is notified and given the option to cancel for a full credit within a response window, rather than being told on the night. Public holidays inside a block are flagged for review during setup and can be excluded, and an excluded session is not charged.
Turf hours, and where they go
A club that cannot say where its turf hours went cannot argue for more of them. The dashboard reports revenue and bookings per program alongside facility hire, so the split between club use and hired-out use is visible rather than inferred. Where a club runs more than one surface, or a second venue, both run from one account with their own settings and coaches. Staff access can be limited to only the classes a person is assigned to, which is what lets a volunteer junior coordinator run their own program without seeing the club's books.
Getting paid for hours you already paid for
Turf hire and program fees taken through the club page across Monday to Sunday arrive as one transfer the following week, with a per-booking breakdown behind it. Stripe's processing fee is absorbed by AllSquads rather than deducted as a separate line. For a club whose margin on a hired hour is the difference between the rate charged and the rate paid to the facility, having the income arrive itemised and on a predictable day is not a small thing.
Which setup fits you?
Your finances are decided by how many turf hours you sell
Good fitThen this is aimed squarely at you. Every hour is either a program, a hire or empty, and the difference between those three stops being a question somebody answers from memory on a Sunday night.
You want the turf's lighting or access control operated from here
Worth knowingThere is no integration with gate systems, lighting controllers or access hardware. A booking tells you who has the hour; making the lights come on is still whatever process you have now.
The turf belongs to a council or a school rather than to the club
Worth knowingIt still works, with one honest limit. You can only sell the hours you hold. Where the owner books the surface directly, the sensible split is running your programs here and leaving general hire with whoever controls the allocation.

AllSquads at a hockey club
AllSquads is Australian software for the booking, payment and admin side of a club. A hockey club uses it to sell turf hours with the right rate for the time of day, publish its junior and specialist programs on the same calendar, give volunteer coordinators access to only their own program, and take one weekly payment with an itemised breakdown.
