Ultimate frisbee league and booking software
Hat leagues, pickup and a sport that organises itself

TL;DR
- No national junior program is named on this page, because there is not one we can verify.
- A hat league is a season block: people sign up as individuals and are drafted into teams afterwards.
- Pickup gets paid for without a tin, which is the single most common request from a club that runs it.
- The volunteer running the season stops being the person who remembers who has paid.
Ultimate is self-refereed and largely self-organised, and its clubs reflect that: small committees, mixed-gender divisions, and a culture of turning up rather than being rostered. This page names no national junior program because there is none we can verify to name. What we can be concrete about is the two formats every Australian club runs, the hat league and the pickup session, and what taking money for them online actually changes.

Hat leagues
A hat league puts individuals rather than teams into a draw, which makes the entry list the entire product: the draw cannot be made until the entries close, and the entries do not close until people pay. Published as a fixed block with a start date, an end date and one price for the season, it sells the run in advance and generates the weekly sessions itself. Capacity is set to the number of players the draw can take, and the booking flow will not sell past it, so the organiser is not manually turning people away by message.
Pickup, and paying for it without a tin
Pickup is the format most likely to be run on trust and a bucket. As a bookable session with a date, a capacity and a price, it is paid at booking, which removes the collection problem and produces a roster. Where regulars object to paying every week, a pack of five or ten credits sells the sessions in bulk and they book against it, and discount tiers can reduce the per-session price automatically when someone books several. A one-off tournament warm-up or a visiting-team scrimmage is simply another dated session.
Field time
Most ultimate clubs rent fields rather than own them, so the facility side of the platform is usually not the part they need. Where a club does control field or hall hours, those can be sold as facility hire in half-hour blocks against live availability with member and casual rates and separate evening pricing. Where it does not, the club simply runs its programs and never sets a facility up.
Divisions, drafts and a season that changes shape
Ultimate seasons get decided over three weeks of committee messages, so nothing has to be public before it is settled: a program sits in draft, invisible to players, until somebody publishes it. A division that is not running this year is paused rather than removed, which hides it from players while leaving its existing bookings and history untouched, and one that has genuinely finished is archived instead of deleted so the record of what it cost and who played survives. A selected team or a training group that is not open to everyone is published invite-only and never turns up in a public search.
What the club can actually see
The roster for a session shows who has booked and whether they have paid, which is the thing a captain currently reconstructs from a group chat on the night. Over a season the dashboard reports revenue, bookings and player retention, plus how often a waitlist turned into an actual booking, so a committee can tell the difference between a league that looks busy and one that is filling. That is a small amount of information, but it is more than most clubs at this size have ever had about themselves.
What changes for the volunteer running it
The honest pitch to a club this size is not strategic. Sessions are paid for when they are booked rather than chased afterwards. Everyone who books joins a contact list with their history, and an existing spreadsheet imports into it, so the list survives a change of committee. Each league gets its own group chat, so a field change reaches the people playing on it rather than the whole club, and reminders go out automatically a day and an hour before. The money arrives as one transfer each week for the week just gone with a per-booking breakdown, which is a treasurer's entire job for the week.
Which setup fits you?
Your season sells to individuals who are drafted into teams later
Good fitThat is the shape a block enrolment fits best. Individuals commit and pay before the draft, you get a definitive list of who is in, and the draft itself happens wherever you run it now with a list you can trust.
You want the draft run here
Worth knowingThere is no draft tool and no team allocation. What you get is a paid, confirmed list of who is playing, which is the input the draft needs; the allocation stays with whoever does it now.
Pickup is casual and you would rather not gate it
Worth knowingThat is a genuine trade-off and worth making deliberately. Free sessions are still worth running through for the head count and the contact record; charging for them means the money is collected before anyone arrives, at the cost of a step for a first-timer who just wanted to turn up.
