Entries, entry fees and a capped field - handled like any other booking

1st month free. A card is required to start, and nothing is charged until your free month ends. The free profile and free tiers never need one.

TL;DR

  • There is no draw engine, no ladder and no results table here, and no page on this site will tell you otherwise.
  • What is handled is the entry admin: publishing, capping the field, taking the fee and knowing exactly who is in.
  • A one-day event runs as a social session; a series runs as a recurring class or a block enrolment.
  • Listing controls who can even see it, which matters more for a graded event than anywhere else on your calendar.
  • Withdrawals answer to the notice threshold you set, not to whoever asks most persistently.

Competitions on AllSquads are about taking entries: publishing the event, capping the field, collecting the entry fee and knowing exactly who is in. Being straight about the boundary is more useful than pretending otherwise - AllSquads does not run draws, ladders or fixtures. What it does is remove the entry admin that sits around a competition, which for most clubs is the part that actually costs time.

Which format to run it as

A one-day event is a social session: a single date, a start time, a duration and a capacity. A competition that runs across several weeks is a group lesson with a recurring schedule, or a term program if entrants are committing to the whole series up front. The choice is about how you want entries taken, not about a separate competition engine - there is not one, and a page claiming otherwise would waste your time.

Entry fees and a capped field

The entry fee is the class price, paid at checkout when the entrant books. Capacity caps the field, and when it fills, the waitlist activates automatically so withdrawals are backfilled from a real queue instead of from memory. Optional member pricing applies automatically for members, which is the usual shape for a club event with a member and a visitor rate.

Controlling who can enter

Every class type carries a listing setting, and it matters more for competitions than anywhere else.

  • Public - anyone on AllSquads can find and enter it
  • Private - only people with the direct link, for an event you promote yourself
  • Invite-only - only players you explicitly invite, for a graded or qualifying event

Withdrawals

Withdrawals follow the class's cancellation policy, which you configure per event: a notice threshold in hours and what an entrant receives if they withdraw with at least that much notice. Inside the threshold, no credit is returned regardless of the refund type - which for an event with a fixed field and catering or court costs already committed is usually the point of setting a threshold at all.

What this does not do

There is no draw generation, no ladder, no results table and no fixture scheduling. If you run a competition that needs those, you will keep using whatever produces them - AllSquads handles the entries, the money and the roster, and does not pretend to handle the rest.

Who it suits

Club championships, junior tournaments, ladder nights, corporate days and one-off open events - anywhere the real work is collecting entries and fees from a capped field rather than administering a draw.

Which setup fits you?

The painful part is collecting entries and fees from a capped field

Good fit

That is the part this does, and it is usually most of the work. The fee is taken when the entrant books, the cap is enforced without you counting, and the withdrawal that lands the night before is backfilled from an ordered queue instead of from your memory of who asked.

You need a draw generated, a ladder maintained or results published

Worth knowing

None of that exists here, and it is not on the way. Keep whichever tool produces your draw and your results, and use this for the entries and the money. A platform that let you find that out after you had moved a championship across would have wasted your season, not your afternoon.

Your event is graded, or qualifying, or members only

Worth knowing

Workable, and the listing setting is the whole answer, but pick it before you publish rather than after. Invite-only limits entry to players you have explicitly invited; private limits it to whoever holds the link you distribute. Public is the wrong default for a graded field and is the setting people leave on by accident.

You have committed money before entries close

Good fit

Then set a notice threshold that reflects that. Catering, a guest official and booked courts are all spent before the field is final, and a withdrawal inside the threshold returns no credit whatever the refund type says. That is the point of setting one at all.

What AllSquads is

AllSquads is booking, payments and admin software for sports coaches and clubs. Players find your classes, book and pay online, and get reminded before every session. You get the roster, the money and the contact record in one place, with a payout to your bank every week. It runs term programs, casual classes, camps, private lessons and court hire side by side, so the whole operation is in one system rather than a booking tool plus a spreadsheet plus a payment app.
