Football club and academy booking software
MiniRoos, academy blocks, holiday clinics and the goalkeeper who never gets a session
1st month free. A card is required to start, and nothing is charged until your free month ends. The free profile and free tiers never need one.
TL;DR
- Four hundred juniors is four hundred families, and the size is the problem rather than the programs.
- MiniRoos, run by Football Australia, is the entry point; academy blocks and goalkeeper work behave differently.
- One message reaches every booked family in a program, from the list the bookings themselves built.
- Registrations, clinic money and academy fees all land in the same weekly deposit.
Football is the largest junior participation sport in the country, and the size is exactly the problem: a club with four hundred juniors has four hundred families to register, chase, remind and refund, mostly through one volunteer's inbox. Registration for the competition itself is one thing. Everything the club sells around it, the academy blocks, the holiday clinics, the goalkeeper sessions, the pre-season conditioning, tends to be run on a spreadsheet and hope. That is the part AllSquads takes over.

MiniRoos and the youngest age groups
MiniRoos is Football Australia's small-sided program for young players, and clubs commonly run it as a weekly block on a Friday evening or Saturday morning with volunteer coaches and rotating parent helpers. Sold as a term enrolment, the block has one price, generates its own sessions from the day and time you set, and produces a roster per session rather than a laminated list. Where a session date lands on a public holiday, exclude it during setup and nobody is charged for it; Australian public holidays are flagged for you to check rather than left to be discovered on the day.
Academy and development blocks
Academy or advanced-skills blocks are usually smaller, paid separately and heavily oversubscribed. Capacity is set per class, and when it fills the waitlist opens by itself. Players are notified in the order they joined and a spot is strictly first-come, first-served, with no hold and no expiry on the offer, so the notification is explicit about booking promptly. Anyone who misses out is still a contact record with their interest attached, which is a considerably better position to be in than a full inbox of unanswered messages when you open the next block.
Goalkeeper and small-group sessions
Keeper coaching is the classic small-group format: one coach, two or three players, an hour on a corner of the pitch. Run as a private booking it checks the coach's availability and the ground's availability at the same time and only offers a slot when both are actually free. Each duration carries its own price, and where a coach is happy to take two or three players for one flat price, that can be set on the durations it applies to and is shown before payment, so the price a family sees is the price charged. Requests need the coach's approval by default, and a minimum lead time in hours stops a booking landing forty minutes before kickoff.
Holiday clinics
School holiday football is a block of days rather than a term, and families want to buy the whole thing or just the Tuesday. That is what the camp format is for: a full-clinic price, per-week pricing where it runs across both weeks, and a day rate where individual days are sold. Camp days do not have to be consecutive, which matters when the ground is only free on certain mornings. If the dates have to shift, the whole clinic moves together and every enrolled family is notified and offered a full credit.
How the programs compare
These four sit on one club page and one weekly payout, and confusing their shapes is the single most common setup mistake a football club makes.
| Program | Runs as | Sold as | Joining late |
|---|---|---|---|
| MiniRoos block | Weekly, follows the school term | One block price | Pro-rata if enabled, otherwise full price |
| Academy block | Weekly, fixed intake | One block price | Waitlist until the next intake |
| Holiday clinic | Consecutive or selected days | Whole clinic, per week, or day rate | Buy the remaining days |
| Keeper session | One-to-one or small group | Priced per duration | Book any free slot |
Telling four hundred families one thing
Every booking creates a contact automatically with its history attached, and an existing registration list can be imported from a spreadsheet, so the club's contact list stops living in three different places. Each class gets a group chat, which means a coach can tell one squad the ground is closed without messaging the whole club, and a club-wide announcement reaches every follower at once. Session reminders go out automatically a day and an hour before; text messages are held back for cancellations, which is the one message that genuinely cannot wait for someone to open their email.
Which setup fits you?
Registration season currently runs through one volunteer's inbox
Good fitThat inbox is the thing being replaced. Families enrol themselves, pay at the same moment, and appear on a roster and a contact list without anyone re-typing a name from an email into a spreadsheet.
You need team selection, fixtures or results
Worth knowingNone of those exist here. Your federation's system keeps the competition and always will. This is the registration, the money and the programs your club sells around the season, which is where the volunteer hours actually go.
Your club spans four grounds and several coordinators
Worth knowingSupported, but decide the structure before you build. Multiple venues and per-coach permissions exist so a coordinator sees their own age group rather than everything; deciding who sees what after four hundred families have registered is much harder than deciding it now.

What AllSquads handles for a football club
AllSquads is Australian booking and payment software built for clubs and the coaches inside them. A football club uses it for everything it sells outside the competition itself: the MiniRoos block, the academy, the holiday clinic, the keeper session and any ground time it hires out, all on one page, with one contact list and one weekly transfer.
