TL;DR

AllSquads vs PlayByPoint, the short version

  • Price is the headline: their published entry plan, converted at the Reserve Bank's own rate, costs an Australian club well over our club tier every month, and their other two plans cost more again.
  • AllSquads is Australian dollars with GST inside, billable monthly or annually, with no annual contract needed to get the published rate.
  • Every paid tier opens with a trial you start yourself, where their pricing page books a demo instead.
  • One flat rate covers the club, with terms, camps, private lessons, memberships and courts on one roster and one weekly payout.

If you are looking for a PlayByPoint alternative in Australia, the invoice is the place to start: a published US dollar figure on an annual contract against an Australian dollar rate with GST inside, billable monthly. Then come the trial, the plan tiers and the coaching season, and the table below sets the rest side by side.

Pricing compared

Pricing compared: their figure is converted at the RBA rate. The ratings are the US listings, because the Australian App Store listing carries only single-figure ratings; AllSquads publishes no app-store rating of its own. No Capterra figure is quoted because its listing would not open.

Pricing: AllSquads vs PlayByPoint

Their pricing page lists three plans per month under a footnote stating that all pricing shown is based on an annual contract. It prints no currency code, and because the company is American and its terms are governed by Florida law the figures are read here as US dollars. No month-by-month rate is published.

Their card fees are published per plan and the entry plan carries the highest of the three. Their add-ons are priced separately too. We do not reprint those figures here, because a comparison page is not a pricing page; they are linked below.

AllSquads is a flat monthly subscription per tier in Australian dollars with GST inside, billable monthly or annually, with free Coach and Club tiers underneath. A card is required to start a paid trial and nothing is charged on the day.

What is PlayByPoint?

PlayByPoint is facility management software from PBC LABS, an American company whose terms of use are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Its pricing page lists Essential, Advanced and Premium plans per month under a footnote stating that all pricing shown is based on an annual contract.

Why clubs look for a PlayByPoint alternative

Each of these is checkable on the pages they publish.

The price is in US dollars

Their entry plan, converted at the Reserve Bank's published daily rate, sits well above our club tier, and their other plans cost more again. AllSquads publishes Australian dollars with GST inside.

The published price assumes you sign for a year

Their footnote states that all pricing shown is based on an annual contract, and no month-by-month rate is published. AllSquads is billable monthly or annually at rates published either way.

The entry plan withholds things clubs use early

Their own feature matrix excludes merchandise, the club account system, the marketing starter kit, kiosk and smart lock support and a custom domain from the entry plan, marks its announcements as limited, and gives it the highest card fee of the three plans.

There is nothing to try yourself

The word trial appears nowhere on their pricing page, and every plan button books a demo. AllSquads is self-serve: publish a term class and take a booking the same evening.

AllSquads vs PlayByPoint

AllSquads compared with PlayByPoint across the eleven jobs an Australian club has to do, using only what each product's own public pages document.
AllSquadsPlayByPoint
Getting paidPlayers pay by card when they book or enrol, as a one-off, a subscription, a drop-in or a term instalment, and the place is held only once payment clears.Integrated payments on every plan through built-in Stripe and CardConnect, with split payments between players. The card fee differs by plan and is highest on the entry plan.
The rosterCourts, term classes, camps, private lessons and memberships share one roster, so a clash between a hire and a session is visible the moment it is created.A facility booking sheet with reservation, program and lesson bookings on every plan, and booking rules configurable by surface type and booking window.
Term and drop-in on one classOne class takes both: enrol for the term and drop-in is a toggle on that same class, so a casual player and a term family sit on one roster and one attendance sheet.Program and lesson bookings are on every plan, so coaching is covered; whether one class carries a term enrolment and a casual booking together is not something its public pages state.
Cancellations and creditsA cancelled session becomes account credit under the class's own cancellation policy, visible to both sides and spendable on anything the club sells.A club account system holding member balances is published from the middle plan up and is not included on the entry plan. How a cancelled session turns into a credit is not described on its public pages.
RemindersReminders go out before a session and before each subscription charge, by email and push, with the club choosing which events notify whom.Announcements on every plan, marked limited on the entry plan, with a marketing starter kit from the middle plan up.
Member pricingMembership tiers carry their own rates and the member price applies by itself to classes, court hire and a Pro Shop discount, with one tier able to cover a family.Membership management with automated renewals on every plan, and programs can be scoped to a membership tier. How a member rate is applied to a court booking is not detailed publicly.
WaitlistsA full class takes a waitlist that is on by default, and everyone waiting is told the moment a place opens. Nobody is booked or charged automatically. Not something we could find described on its public pages.
PayoutsOne payment to the club every week for the week just gone, itemised booking by booking. An independent coach's own bookings pay out to that coach.Their product page states that staff payout is automated, and money reaches the club through its own Stripe or CardConnect account. A weekly itemised club payout is not something we could find on its public pages.
Court hirePlayers book one or several full courts in one checkout and split the cost between up to eight people, on the same roster as the coaching with the member rate applied.Court rules by surface type and booking window, plus kiosk check-in, smart locks and keyless entry through access control from the middle plan up.
Comms and AIContact records with email, in-app messages, push notifications and broadcast announcements, plus AI built in: the Club Agent in the dashboard and the Concierge for players. SMS covers cancellations, reminders and payment requests on paid tiers.Announcements on every plan and a marketing starter kit above the entry plan. Their own product page publishes AI-powered recommendations as coming soon.
RecordsRevenue, bookings, attendance, court use and members in weekly, monthly, quarterly and financial-year reports with drill-down, so a treasurer or auditor can work from them at season end.Reporting on every plan covering revenue, court utilisation and member behaviour, with webhooks access as a paid monthly add-on.

How AllSquads compares

Four differences an Australian club feels, price first.

The monthly figure

AllSquads publishes one flat Australian dollar rate per tier with GST inside, so there is no exchange rate in the budget and no card conversion charge on the statement. Their entry plan is a US dollar figure under an annual-contract footnote.

What the published rate is conditional on

Their rate assumes a year, and no month-by-month figure appears on their page. AllSquads publishes monthly and annual rates, and every paid tier opens with a trial.

How much of the plan you actually get

Our club tier carries courts, memberships, credits, a Pro Shop and reporting inside one rate. Their entry plan excludes merchandise and the club account system.

The coaching season

An Australian club's year runs on school terms and holiday camps. They run programs and lessons too, so coaching is covered; on AllSquads one class takes a term enrolment and a drop-in together, with the Club Agent and the Concierge built in.

Why clubs and coaches run on AllSquads

One platform for the whole operation: bookings, payments, courts, members and messages, built for racquet clubs and the coaches who run them.

  • Every class type on one timetable

Group classes, terms, camps, private lessons, socials, court hire and retreats all live on one schedule, with one roster per session.

  • Every way to pay

Upfront, weekly or monthly subscriptions, drop-ins, memberships, session packs and term instalments, collected online and paid out to your club every week.

  • Court hire with cost splitting

Players book one court or several in a single checkout and split the cost between up to eight people, so nobody chases anyone for their share.

  • A CRM with every channel

Every player and parent has a contact record, and you reach them by email, in-app message, push notification or broadcast. Paid plans add SMS for cancellations, reminders and payment requests.

  • Team scheduling

Coaches set their availability, you assign a head coach to each class, and a substitute takes a single session without rebuilding the class.

  • Admin that runs itself

Reminders go out before a session and before every subscription charge, the waitlist tells everyone waiting the moment a place opens, and cancellations turn into account credit under your own policy.

  • Promo codes and a pro shop

Discount codes at checkout, and a pro shop with member pricing and online or cash sales that land in the same weekly payout.

  • An AI agent on both sides

The Club Agent answers questions about your bookings, members and money from the dashboard, and the Concierge helps players find and book the right class.

  • Analytics you can act on

Revenue, bookings, attendance, court use and member trends, with weekly, monthly, quarterly and financial-year reports you can drill into.

Choose AllSquads if

  • The monthly figure matters, and you would rather not carry an exchange rate into a budget set in March.
  • You want to be billed in Australian dollars with GST inside, with no annual contract needed for the published rate.
  • You would rather test it yourself before any money moves than book a demo.
  • Your year turns on school terms and holiday camps, with AllSquads AI built in: the Club Agent and the Concierge.

How to switch to AllSquads

Three moves and a first term. Note what your last invoice converted to in Australian dollars while you export.

  1. Export your members, bookings and registrations

Take the member list with renewal dates, forward court bookings and current registrations out as a spreadsheet, noting account balances.

Help centre: Club guide, Contacts (CRM)

  2. Import the contacts and carry the balances across as credit

Upload the CSV under Contacts, then Import. Account balances become credit against the person holding them.

    Help centre: Payments and credits

  3. Publish one term class and put your courts beside it

Publish one term class with excluded holidays and both prices, with drop-in switched on, then add each court with its hire and member rates.

    Help centre: Term classes
